Who We Are

With the goal of making a difference for that one dog, Foster 2 Home has, in just two short years, rescued nearly 600 dogs who otherwise would likely have been euthanized.

Here’s how we do it:

  •  We focus on rescuing dogs from parts of the country where there is an especially high number of dogs in need of help, and fewer people to help them. Foster 2 Home rescues dogs from HIGH-KILL SHELTERS in nine such states: Illinois, Tennessee, North Carolina, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Mississippi, Alabama and Kentucky.

  •   Variety is the spice of life, and we feel that way about dogs, too. We make no distinction with regard to a dog’s size, shape, age, or breed. Dogs who are homeless or at risk of being euthanized come in all makes and models.

  • Address the medical needs of each rescued dog. Injuries or illnesses get immediate veterinary attention.

  • Heal the spirits of each dog. Emotional nurturing is often as important as physical. That’s where our dedicated foster families shine. These families work hard to ease each dog through their initial fright and confusion, readying each dog for their very own forever family. In foster they are given time to acclimate, time to heal, and time to renew their spirits.

  •   Match each dog with a deserving family that is eager to provide a lifetime commitment — love, structure, and security, so the dog needs never feel frightened or alone again.

  •   Do it all over again!
